Dana 44 (Power Giant) question

Getting close to finishing the 57 W-100 (Girl Scout Truck). On my punch list is "install vent in front axle" The rear axle has the same vent as a WDX Power Wagon, and I have a similar vent on the parts shelf. Today I rolled under the truck to install it, and felt all over the front axle and couldn't find a hole. Sure would have been easier before sliding the axle under there! I checked the exploded view in the parts book and it does not show a vent. That isn't conclusive, as the drawings are often incomplete.
So, am I just overlooking the hole, or is the vent I have in hand from some other axle?
