I live way up in the hills on the Tennessee-North Carolina border, is what is referred to as a remote mountain community. To get a ditch hand dug would either do it by hand, or hire someone not otherwise employable, and normally without divers license or a legal vehicle. We have an excellent local state college that supplies the professionals we need locally, with a school of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law and allied fields. Once this region put coal behind them, economic growth occurred in other places.
And yes, I have a 62 M37B2 95% original (modern tires, dual master cylinder, electric fuel pump), 62 Town Wagon and 68 Utiline, 318/727, I just stopped by today for the RA code to order a couple a cheap cases of oil filters for our daily drivers.
