Door latch. Problem right side. W100

We took the door off laid it on a stand. Took the window Chanel out to remove the latch. Cleaned off years of crime and dirt. Gave a lube job. No broken parts that we can see. Works great. Then when your ready to put it back together it doesn't open. Is it time for a new latch? Any ideas?
