I couldn't get my Stihl 045 to keep running after it starts. For 45 years it has always started and run, like a faithful old dog, no matter how long it sat or how much/little fuel (always non-ethanol) I have left in it.
I took it to the Stihl shop and they told me there were 2 crankshaft seals and a bushing that were leaking air, causing the problem....and the seals were obsolete to them. Thanks to ebay I found 1 part in Oregon, 1 in Michigan, and 1 in Tennessee.
The www has certainly made finding things a lot easier than the old days.
