Hello All,
I was ordering some parts for my WC 1/2 ton and happened to mention that I was going to swap out the post-war 8&3/4" 4.30 third members I have now in the truck with a pair of 4.10's. He said to me that he is looking into having either some 4.30 or 4.10 ratio ring and pinions made up for the power wagon if there is enough interest in it. He asked me to let him know how the 4.10's work out in my 1-2 ton. The reason I am making the switch is that I will be able to go back to mounting the 750-16 on the truck which in turn will make the truck steer, brake and give even more power and torque than it has now. Best of all, at a cruising speed of about 60MPH it only increases the RPM's by 101 to 2543 which is only 70% of the rated RPM of the IND-7(236.6).
