Using a Sawzall for cutting metal is not at all like a hacksaw cutting metal. We try to hurry by running the tool too fast and pressing too hard. The heat destroys the blade. A better tool is a 4" grinder with a metal cutting wheel. Or learn to go slow with the Sawzall.
