Even with the choke out, you are still drawing fuel through the main jet. Hmm, less air for less fuel? Maybe.
But there is an enrichment circuit run by vacuum- less vacuum (like at full throttle) the richer the mix. It's that needle thingy hooked to a piston. Might be too rich, or too lean? Pulling the choke out makes more vacuum, sucking the needle shut, leaning it ?
Any black smoke when missing? That s too much fuel.
Have you tried swapping coils?
