I'll keep you updated. I believe overall length between the '68 318 with "shorter" water pump and the 5.9L stock front end drive is comparable within an inch or so. However, I also have a non-stock radiator that may or may not be further forward in vehicle.
I'll need to measure water pump snout to block distances for both engines as part of this info.
