Sounds like a nice project. I was looking into a 5.2L Magnum for my 6x6 until a complete LA318/bellhousing/435 fell into my lap. I've heard that you can swap the Magnum heads onto the LA blocks, then install the beer-keg injection system. Then you can turbo the whole thing....
