John,
Actually I’ve been an Arizona resident since the late 60’s. In Arizona the name Snowbird is given to anybody who “winters” in AZ. I’m kind of an inverted version of a snowbird. I spend my winters in AZ and when the ice melts on the rivers in Tucson (i.e. it gets over 100 degrees), I head for Tennessee till next winter. Not much of a latitude change, but a whole lot more temperate.
