Hey Charlie, Here's what I know:
1) Yes, the bellhousing (flywheel cover) will bolt to the 6 without any modification
2) I think it's a direct drive 5th with a compound low 1st. Hence the reason for the 2 speed brownie. I Put it in 1st and turned the input shaft 1 full revolution, the output yoke moved about 30 degrees.
3) I havent run it, But I would assume its a non-syncro since it's a '57 and out or a OTR tractor.
4) The transmission is aprox 21" long from front of the case to the output shaft. It is very heavy, I lifted it out of the back of my truck with a engine hoist.
This is a BIG TRUCK transmission, I dont want to mess with putting it in a PW. Maby someone could use it in a D/W500 or 2wd truck. The Watson 2 speed brownie however, will easily fit between the frame rails of a PW, behind the transfer case. I have the driveline parts to adapt this to PW driveshafts.
