I have sighted 2 W300s very close to my house recently. Saturday I was in the gas station when a W300 drove by. It was white with the standard box on the bed. It appeared to be in very good shape and had a very nice sound. It obviously had a V8. It appeard to be an early 60's.
Monday night I was getting ready to turn on to my street and a White W300 is trying to make a turn on to the main road. Again it was an early 60's but it had a large utility bed on it. It had some sort of cover over the center of the bed. It was also in good shape and had the front winch bumper. It's body was in very good shape. As with a lot of 300's it had what I consider dinky tires but they were a mud tire.
It is unusual to see W300s in my area but to spot two new ones in a couple of days suggests that someting is going on. The first one was a personnal truck and had a motor cycle in it and the second appeard to be a work truck. I will go and look for the work site tonight to see if the truck is there.
