The machine is just under 12k, which is the trailer's gvw, so, yes, I was stretching it. I think the brakes were doing the job, it was just really a slick surface. I fell on the road just walking around to help my son connect a strap to the rear of the trailer.
There were a lot of factors that pushed us into the timeframe. He had a deadline on finishing, the county is starting to put load limits on the roads, and winter.
The things dads do for the kids.....
