That sucks, but at least it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately for that kind of money and the fact that you're from out of state, local law enforcement might not be too interested in pursuing it. I have a friend whose credit card number got stolen. Believe it or not, the person who used his card paid a traffic ticket with it! Clearly they had all the information on this person, but it wasn't worth their time.
