Replacing shift lever up to transmission parts question?

I am trying to get more detail on the pin and stop circled on the drawing. The drawing is too hard to see the parts and where they go. Any better drawings out there? or a verbal explanation. I already talked to a friend who did the same thing and all he can remember is going thru the same issues of ID and location as me. Thanks as always.
