I've noticed that in any given winter, it's either extra cold and snowy in the East or extra cold and snowy in the West, all winter long, but not both. Once the pattern is set in November or so, it seems to stick around.
We're getting yet another round of snow here in North Idaho. Yesterday I mucked off most of my trucks to avoid any more caved in cabs and hoods, but should probably do more. I'm starting to worry about the roofs, but at 30,000 sq ft of area, mucking them off is basically impossible.
The positive side of it is that the snow pack throughout the Cascades is well over 100% of average and in the Sierras and most of the Great Basin, they're at about 200% of average. I don't know if Jerry Brown is a praying man, but if he's not, he'd better thank those who are, because I think God just saved his state.
