IH has there own part numbers, so hard to tell. I did see an Eaton listed for 1 ton, 8 lug though, RA-15.
3/4 ton had ratios of 4.11 and 4.77, so he would have to choose an axle with the same. Probably 4.77
A book I have says 1 ton IH had 4.30 and 6.166. I imagine they had something in between?

Also said they had a married t case... not. Had NP-201.
