Thanks, Ed! Looks like that is exactly what the pulley snout on my 230 crankshaft measures. I figured that would be the case, but someone knowledgeable had told me with confidence that the 230 pulley would not fit the 265 crankshaft. Assuming yours has the full length keyway, then it looks like it will fit after all, which is great news. Let me know if your crank doesn't have the full length keyway. And of course, I'm assuming the key width/height is the same as mine.
One more favor, if it's not too much trouble: do you mind measuring the length of the snout and also the distance from the front of the snout to some other reference like maybe the surface (shoulder) that the timing gear goes up against? I'm trying to find out how far the pulley will stick out in front of the engine, so I can determine if it will still line up with the other pulleys that I will transfer over from the 230.
