love that article. read it a few years ago but always forget some of the details. I think he meant he rebuilt at 82K and the 2nd time another 85K after that. pulling that big of load at those rpms that sounds about right. plus he probably didn't pull the head every 25K and clean all the carbon off of the piston tops, valves and combustion chambers. you can get double the miles or more if you do that. I had an old blaster that was designed for blasting the chambers with head installed but those never worked that well from what the old guys told me. I never tested it
