Went back and looked at my photos of the wiring to my hydraulic pump. I used #1 AWG Copper(not 2/0) to the pump so there would be no real voltage drop under the 1.5 KW(1500 watts divided by 12 = Aprox Amps) full load of the Type S3 DC Motor used. It is a ways from my battery and DC tends to drop fast on wire that would work close, further away from the source under heavy loads like a motor. That will cause the motor to have a shorter life also. A good test would be to measure the voltage at the motor when lifting the blade to see how much it drops doing that. You may be surprised and see why they like big wire to them. Enjoy your new charging system plowing!
