Swapping a NP420 to NP435

On an older WDX Power Wagon equipped with crash box NP420 and PTO winch, what's involved in swapping a synchro NP435 and keeping the winch? Is a different bell housing and input shaft needed? A different PTO?

Will a later NP420 with synchro 3th and 4th directly swap in? Will the PTO work with the later NP420?
