Right you are. I have 5 or 6 of them that I have acquired over the years. 2 or 3 that size and 2 or 3 smaller ones. I have always intended on installing old black and white auto photos in them, but that is still on the to do list. The one photo I already have enlarged to fit is of my oldest brother's 1952 GMC 5 ton flat bed truck with a load of cedar telephone poles on it that we cut out of the swamp on the back of the farm. The top two or three layers of poles are positioned on the truck with 8 to ten feet of the butt ends out over the cab. My mother took the picture in 1962, my oldest brother was 22, me at 15, and my next youngest brother at 13 were standing on top of the load. I think that one will look pretty cool. But just don,t turn the heat on.
