Anybody know of a shop that restores flat fender speedometers. In my case, a 1942 WC. I talked with one I found with a great website. The guy was cordial but said the starting price for essentially cosmetic restoration was $400 and up, depending on what needed to be replaced inside. The restoration of the speedo and five gauges would run from from $1,000 to $2,300 for the set.
If this is standard pricing, I may just spray a little WD40 and try to run "as is"!
Seriously, does anybody make them run again for less than a complete engine rebuild?
