I remember when I lived in Calif., I was always getting hasseled by the cops because I never had a plate that was legible. The tag chain on my winch hung across the plate and wore off the paint. And I was always snagging it somewhere. In Idaho I never get bothered for no front plate. Less traffic....less cops. :)
