Firewall Bulkhead Fitting for Electric, Yes or No?

I'm getting ready to start on the wiring for the 6x6. I'm considering using a bulkhead fitting like the one below in the firewall. Is there any compelling reason to do this, or not do this? I'm going to cut a fuse box into the firewall above the steering column, in the location of the old generator voltage regulator. Access to the fuses will be from the engine compartment, the wiring will be inside the cab. Any thoughts appreciated.
