I agree totally with Spence. However, I have to go one step further to say that these kinds of articles actually do our hobby a disservice, in my opinion. Once bad information gets out there on the internet, it is almost impossible to refute it as it will be repeated over and over again by people who don't realize that more research was really needed on their part before they jumped on the bandwagon.
Case in point. The image attached here that was shown in the article and labeled as a 1957 Dodge W100, is actually a factory photo of the 1954 Dodge 4X4 Special Truck model C1-QW6. Not much information exists on this truck and it is not currently known how many were actually sold, if any. However, it is generally accepted as having been the predecessor (possibly prototype) the W100 and W200 that eventually became available for sale to the public as 1957 year models.
David Butler has a copy of the cover of the Driver's Guide created by Chrysler for this truck. John Zentmyer and Paul Lacy both wrote articles on the truck that were published in the Power Wagon Advertiser magazine.
