We had a winter like that here a while back. A local farmer lost a lot of his cows cause the snow blew in too deep to get around in and the cows froze in place not being able to get to the hay or water. Ours are with in 50 ft of the barn full of hay so that will never happen to us. Some around here don't or can't afford to stock up enough hay for the winter. Once in a while they run out when the snow is to deep to bring in more so they hit us up for it. We always buy extra for that reason. We also spent our money on a big barn instead of a bunch of toys like quads and such. Animals come first on our place!
