WDX middle skid strips attach to alternating sides of the supports. One strip bolts to leading edge of support. Next strip over to left or right attaches to trailing edge of that same support. Think of it as evenly distributed weight on support. Easiest thing to do is drill supports to match holes already in skid strips. Unless you are going for 100% accurate resto of later model truck. On those, the holes in strips are all aligned. Guess Dodge decided weight distribution was not all that important. Enjoy
