Apparently the footballing ( soccer ) authorities in FIFA told our two national teams here they couldn't wear poppy symbols during the match as it was against their regulations.
In a rare show of complete national accord we jointly told them to 'go away' or something like that ...
Not many WW1 Dodge survivors left either - I don't think there are any in the UK but might be wrong.
