You mentioned Dark Metallic Green ( Ford Color), I assume that you are familiar with it.
My 1947 WDX is that very color, or maybe even emerald green, produced in 1995. I didn't have a choice, as it was already applied five years before I bought the truck. I have seen similar colors on both GM, Dodge, and others in that era.
I like it and am well satisfied with it. It will look different under the changing light of the day. I get lots of positive, "wow" comments re the paint.
I don't need to know much about body shop work and painting, as a long time fried with 50 years experience has his own shop. But I have heard him say that it is very very easy to get runs below the heads of rivets, ie. the hood and tailgate. All the best with your project. JJB.
