I did just try something though, when outside just now working on setting the gaps of the plugs to 0.035"
I turned the idle mix adjusting screw out a good bit more, and noticed that I could put the choke in now, at least to almost closed and no choke condition. and it smoothed out a bit.
THe carb has been set with the idle mixture screw out from full seated position, to about 3 full turns out.
Factory manual says about 1/2 turn to 2.5. turns...
Its now out like 5-6 turns! and it seems better, or at least better without the choke so far engaged. I guiess it makes sense.. this screw adds more fuel to the mix, or richens it..like pulling out the choke I guess,. turning it in leans the mix
anyone else need to turn out this idle
