All the flat fenders had c.v. joints in front axles. Either Rzeppa's or bendix-weiss. Only the 1/2t's had the earlier (4, 1 inch balls, w/ 1 more in the center- axle shafts were like forks, I think this is the Rzeppa). The 3/4t and laters all use a 6 ball type- similar to the cv axles on modern front wheel drive cars. I don't know which is which!
