There are a variety of special thin wall spindle nut wrenches (sockets) available from most NAPA stores. They fit a 1/2" drive and are deep and thin walled to fit into the hub with no interference. They are available in 6, 8, & 10 sided styles! They are fairly reasonable priced too! Good luck!
