M-601 question - When was the last year?

If I get this right, the flat fenders last year of production for USA consumption was 1968, but the line went on in the form of the M-601 for export for some time into the 1970's. What was the last year that Detroit made the M-601? I'm guessing around 1973? Im sorry for asking this if it was covered before.
