WDX-WM Door Bumpers

I picked up some new door bumpers from Roberts Motor Parts for the 6x6 cab, part number DB-37. They fit into the cab openings, but the original dovetail backing plate is too wide to fit into the space available. Do I need to grind the plate down a bit, or is there a more-correct door bumper available? Roberts doesn't have any other ones that will work.
