correct tailgate for '56 FFPW?

So Doc Dave and I have had several discussions regarding my tail gate on my late model (12 volt with synchro) 56 FFPW.
The tailgate on it now does not have the embossed "Dodge" words, and the previous owner felt that was the original tailgate.

So... any thoughts from the experts or anyone else with a late model 56?
