Andrew, From what I have learned recently about gauges used on WDX-WM300 Dodge Power Wagons from 1946 to 1968 there were at least 3 different types of fuel senders used. The resistance range on all three were different. Without the specific model and year the truck was made, there is no way to tell you what sender you need. I have done no research on the W-series trucks. If the float on your fuel sender is made of cork and you have been using "modern" gasoline, it is possible that the protective coating on the cork float has dissolved and that the float has absorbed the fuel and will not float on top but is floating at about in the middle of the tank when the tank is actually full. Your best bet for a replacement sender is to contact Jens Butler at Vintage Power Wagons in Fairfield, IA
