The XZLs are perfect width and height but one of mine has a crack in the side wall and the others are showing cracks around the lugs.
So I am looking at 40" tire diameter but every one is a 17" rim and is 13.50 wide. This means the tire will rub on the back inner fender well on my carryall and stick out of the fenders a tad. Not sure where to go with this. get some -12 offset 17" rims or 0 offset. Also do I go to a smaller tire and how would that look. My XZLs come close to 38.75 inches on the truck and I thought measured out at 39.5 unloaded.
Widening the fenders will be a PITA , tubbing the Carryall will be a PITA, wheels spacers are expensive and a PITA, I am stuck and under the gun.
Some idea what you have done would be appreciated.
I think Dan is running 40s and the tires seem to fit under the fender, but I have no clue as to the offset.
I want to take the carryall out on a trip but do not trust the XZLs.................help??
