I have an old Wisconsin engine on my log splitter, came off of a piece of farm equipment...the name eludes me currently...it's for cutting hay....
AMYWAYS...the exhaust valve on the front cylinder sticks every time it sits more than over night. I shoot a little PB down it and let it sit for a couple minutes, then i have an old welding rod bent into an L that fits in the spark plug hole and i tap on it with a screw driver handle till the valve drops. Turn the crank by hand and repeat the process until the valve will stay down. I also run a little "high octane" diesel in it and that seems to help though having to clean the plugs every couple of hours gets a bit annoying.
I sure like that little engine, its rhythmic pop pop pop gets you into a groove and next thing you know, you have a whole pile of split wood!
