We tried to retire 2 years ago. Then my wife opened a new business so 2 of my sons could take it over. After the build up, I am back to being retired 70%-80% of the time. Then everyone finds out Grandpa is available. Take a grandson to Karate each Friday, drop off and pick up from the airport, honey do lists come out of the woodwork, visit my parents. The most tiring is up at 6AM then errands and next thing you know, you are home at 4PM and haven't done one thing that feels like a retirement fun task. So plan small. Today I cleaned an engine block. Tomorrow install cam bearings. One small task at a time. If you get lucky enough to work half a day on the power wagon, It's a bonus. And the other tiring tasks, glad I am healthy and can do them.
