I have added solder to the contact point(s) until good contact is made.
Yesterday, I put a Sylvania 1104 bulb in Dylan's '67 Fury III dome light. I had to cut the solder bumps down by rubbing them on our driveway to get the darn thing to fit into the bayonet socket. The stupid retaining pins were too high for the socket. I guess that we now know where Sylvania had those made.
I'm no longer buying cheap tools. They're just not worth it.
