Are you referring to large one piece gasket that goes around the entire windshield ? If so.
A quality gasket will fit without bunching or leaving voids. When you install the gasket, dont stretch it, just fit it in the channel as it comes. If you stretch it, some areas will have to much tension on it and pull open spots, especially in the corners. And it you stretch it, when you get most of it in the channel, you will have
excess that will bunch. All this leads to leaks.
Also for a good leak restraint fit, after getting it installed, close and adjust the windshield so it closes tight. With the window closed tight, let her sit in the hot sun for a day or two to train the gasket to lay flat.
