Anyone EVER increased spring height on WC 1/2 ton?

Love the looks of my 1941 wc-12 1/2 ton pickup, but with the larger 9:00-16 NDT's, they do fill that fender well pretty good.

Always wondered if a lift of sorts was possible. I know anything is possible with lots of $$$ and time, but was wondering if anyone on the site has ever done it.

If so, what approach did you take? Re-arch the existing springs at a big truck facility?

Add leafs?

are there any aftermarket lift springs (i.e. ADD-A-LEAFS) available that would fit the narrow 1/2 ton spring sets that could be installed to give, oh say another 1" or so for a tad bit more ride height and fender well clearance?
