When I found out last weekend that my green 1947 WDX was for sale in the July issue of Hemmings Motor News for 125k, I nearly fell over. I haven't slept since. The truck was completely restored in 1990. I have always done all of my own work and I can verify that my parts/supplies costs came no where near that figure. It was a labor of love. It was sold to a collector in Hawaii in 1999 for a hefty price but somehow has returned to the mainland. I have noticed several changes to the truck but I will assure that the new owner will be very proud to park that vehicle in his garage.
