I thought of that and am slightly concerned. Will definitely set the boom support props in place and will not raise it very high unless I'm there giving a demo and I can see nobody is under it. The show has insurance, but we all know that if it fell on somebody, they'd sue everyone in sight.
The boys really like any army truck I put in the show, partly because I encourage them to climb in and over them, which of course they can't do with the shiny show cars. The year I put my ugliest beater M37 in the show, some photographer had some almost-naked woman draped over it every which way taking pictures of her.
Last year I put the deuce in with the canvas on the back, troop seats down, and boarding ladder in place with a sign encouraging people to climb aboard. The boys loved it. I suppose I should have worried that somebody could have fallen out and gotten hurt.
I try to be reasonable about such things. I had neighbors tell me I shouldn't let the neighborhood kids climb in a big bush in my back yard because if they got hurt their parents would sue me. But the kids didn't have a good bush or tree in their own yard and it seems like a small thing to let them climb in mine. If I put jack stands under it, maybe at least then the lawyers would sue Harbor Freight when the jack stands break.
