Agreed, it would be nice to see an article explaining the design characteristics that lead to tread separation, etc in radials, and why that was not seen in the old bias tires when people ran them at 60-70. I remember the old GTO's, Vettes, and Road Runners all had bias tires, and they ran fast...
With a PW and radials going 45-50, is it an issue, like you say?
