I think the 'Job Rated' marketing was first used on the '39. Dodge used the idea to differentiate their product from the competition, whereas Ford had eight basic models F-1, F-2 etc, by 1948 there were 248 or so different configurations for Dodge trucks - each matched for a specific job and load.
a flathead is a terrible thing to waste...
