Warren, I just finished redoing the seats in my
'51 M37. Found the OD canvas for $8/yd, and used
two layers of felt on top of a layer of burlap
over the springs. According to the trim shop
owner who helped me, this is how it's done
today. Might not be completely original, but
it is completely functional, cheap and easy.
