I have removed two. I pulled them off with little effort after removing the clamp bolt. You must remove the clamp bolt all the way, as it passes through a notch on the pin. Take the weight off the pin as described above, spray it with something slippery, and turn the grease zert a little in the tight direction until the pin turns. Then use vice grips and turn and pull until it is out.
I wouldn,t use heat until I knew I had to.
If thew hanger has ever been changed (mine have) they will be bolted rather than riveted to the frame. I nthat case it is pretty easy to drop the whole hanger and knock the pin out with a punch.
