Pete,
My spies tell me that we won the war, so go ahead and paint it tan if it pleases you! Seriously though, I asked a couple of family vets and they tell me they only saw olive drab trucks in Italy. Dunno what color was used in North Africa though. Date colored? I have been seeing woodland camo M37s too, and as far as I know, there were never any official US forces M37s that were still in service when camo became standard. There may have been some National Guard units that still had them. Obviously, the owners liked camo. Are you gonna paint a little palm tree on the door too? Hey, I just watched "Battle of the Bulge" and there were CCKWs, M35s, M211s, M135s, M37s, WCs, (one was a very odd brownish camo!!) and one truck I am certain was a civilian WM300. The Germans also had American tanks and half-tracks. Somehow I don't think one tan M37 is gonna get anyone upset!
